In 2020, during a time of global uncertainty and lockdowns, a spiritual journey began that beautifully intertwined faith, purpose, and sustainability.
I am Amrita Singh, founder of Fashostyle Ltd in London. Inspired by my deep devotion to Lord Ganesha and a heartfelt desire to support our religious institution in Mumbai, India, I joined hands with my parents to create eco-friendly Ganesha idols and introduce them to the UK.
Our idols are lovingly handcrafted using sacred Ramnaam books written by devotees of Aniruddha Bapuji. These books are respectfully transformed into recycled paper powder and moulded into beautiful paper mâché idols using eco-friendly materials such as recycled paper, calcium powder, natural gum, and water-based colours.
What started as a spiritual initiative soon became a meaningful social mission.
Our family-run production unit in Maharashtra, India — originally focused on fashion accessories, was revitalised during the pandemic to support artisans who had lost their livelihoods. We trained skilled workers in the intricate art of paper mâché idol-making, creating employment opportunities while preserving traditional craftsmanship.
From a humble beginning, our eco-friendly Ganesha idols found their way into homes across India and gradually reached devotees around the world.
By the end of 2023, the overwhelming love and blessings we received led to our first global orders, expanding our journey to the United States in 2024 and followed by UK. Today, we are proud to offer our handcrafted artisan-made paper mâché Ganesha idols across the UK and Europe, available for both wholesale and retail customers.
At GaneshaIdol.com, our mission is to encourage eco-friendly Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, protect nature, spread happiness, and support artisan communities through sustainable employment.
We are honoured to connect devotees worldwide bringing faith, tradition, and convenience together without compromise.
Ganpati Bappa Morya!
